Waldorf Wine Group was formed in 1993; our first imports coming from South Africa in the post- Apartheid era. Since then, we’ve branched out considerably, specializing in mid-sized family owned European wine estates – many of whom have become friends. Iconic wineries such as Badia a Coltibuono in Tuscany, Selbach-Oster in the Mosel valley and Lopez de Heredia in Rioja (the best examples with a history going back many hundreds of years). And via the prestigious Bordeaux Negocient Maison, Veyret-Latour, we access the top tier of Cru Classe’ in Bordeaux. Khristian, Graham, and I also have a strong affinity for finding small producer offerings from lesser-known regions, such as Rueda, Montsant and Txakoli in Spain, as well as Loire and Minervois in France, and Baden in Germany.
