Monastrell, the autonomous variety, has compact clusters and round berries, it was first documented in the 14 century although its us in this area for winemaking is previous to this date. It allows us to make red wines with an intense ruby colour, violet tones and abundant fruit aromas intense on the nose. It is meaty on the palate and has an average alcoholic content between 13 and 15, this results in lively, fresh young wines, crianzas and reservas that are rich, rounded and well-structured

This medium-high intensity, garned hued wine spends 2 months aging in the barrel 75% French oak

Reminiscent of fresh fruit such as cherries and red plums, accented with the coconuts
Vanillas and smoky hints from the wood. Fun and fruity with soft tannins that reach a good balance
with the acidity, a nice medium bodied fresh red. Pairing suggestions: Roast or stewed meat, small game, carpaccio, cured meat and pastas

Burgans is a custom cuvee made for importer Eric Solomon. While it’s not the
best Albariño on the market, in terms of bang for the buck, it has no challenger.
The 2006 Burgans Albariño is light gold-colored with a sprightly nose of mineral,
pring flowers, and lemon peel. Ripe, balanced, and concentrated, this is an ideal match for flaky fish courses.
Drink it over the next 1-2 years.

Stefano Gandolini Abrosoli, our Chief Winemaker, has been an integral  part of Terra Andina since the winery was purchased in 2001. Stefano is the driving force behind the development of winemaking strategies. Just as he does as Chief Winemaker at Viña Doña Paula in Argentina, he leaves his personal mark in the style of our wines.

 Intense aromas evoking gooseberry, grapefruit, lime, nectarines, tangerine and indigenous fruit like peach flavors and Acacia flowers. Ripe, with crisp tangerine and peach flavors and a rich lingering finish. Try it with fish or poultry-especially dishes that have a hint of spice.  This is a great wine to kick off the patio season with and it is perfect for parties and functions as well.

Cool fermentation in stainless steel with micro oxygenation make for a fresh, plumy mouthful at a great price.  Notes of Blackberry and plum can be noticed the moment this wine hits the glass. Smooth, rich and well balanced, this is a terrific Merlot and a blockbuster value! Another winner by-the-glass.

The wine is rich, and complex, with dominant notes of tropical fruits, vanilla and smoke. I specially recommend it for seafood, white meat and soups.

Subtle aromas of pineapple, redcurrant and honeysuckle. Delicately rich and creamy, with a distinct flavour of toasted almond. Elegant, nicely balanced Auslese, finishing with a burst of slate. So hard to resist now but it will last easily another 30 years.

Pale yellow. Apricot pit, quince jelly and persimmon dominate the bouquet. The smoky, wet stone minerality keeps the sweet, ripe peach fruit in elegant balance. More a wine of richness than depth, but the finish is nicely understated, displaying both sweet spiciness and a touch of austerity.

Look for the classic Mosel honey and peach and mineral front end with lime rind notes. On the palate like its predecessors it is fresh, clean and juicy with green apple, white peach and spicy mineral flavours. A delicate, easy-drinking riesling that will works with a variety of foods. Still a bit young and tight with some S02 on the nose but this blows off in the glass.

All wines are made from grapes from the winery's own vineyards. The harvest is limited through restrictive vine pruning in the winter, supplemented by partial removal of grapes in the summer. Soil is given meticulous care (mostly permanent green cover) and there is selective hand-picking of very small grape quantities without use of a combine-harvester. The result of these methods are high extract figures, ripe acidity and a definitive character for each variety, making even small vintages full-bodied and top-class.

When Pinot Noir in the Cote de Nuits is made well it is quite simply the most exciting wine in the world. Having poked around Burgundy we believe that Christian Serafin of Gevrey Chambertin is one of the best growers. Serafin does not filter which makes for a much more satisfying, characterful wine. Christian Serafin took over the running of his estate from his father in the late '80's and from this point onwards introduced the use of new oak. Serafin has a great track record in off-vintages which is always a good sign.
